There are many apps that pay you to download other apps. It is a large category in the archives. Here, I will share what my favorite ones are.
Factors that go into picking my favorite:
- Earning method (passive/non-passive)
- Reward options (PayPal, Amazon Gift Cards?)
- Consistency, reliability, and trustworthiness
With the list below, you can click on any of the titles to take you to the archives page of that app for download links and more information on it.
Passive Options vs. Non-Passive Options
When I say passive for paid-to-download apps, I mean apps that pay you for your usage and downloading the app. The longer you use the app, the more you can earn up to a certain point. Note that most of your earning will come from the beginning usage of the app. Later earning will be less the longer you use it going to zero at some point. It offers more earning opportunity this way over a flat reward for downloading the app however. These apps are towards the top of my list and can be found for both Android and iOS.
AppLike
AppLike is a passive option on the list. It has a lot of offers you can complete for good value. The app is only for Android and requires you to enable accessibility settings in order to use the apps. You must also start the app from AppLike or you will not get credit. AppLike has great rewards. They have PayPal, Amazon, and many other gift cards.
AppJest
AppJest is a passive option on the list. It has a lot of offers and is also for iOS! Since it is iOS, you cannot allow Appjest to automatically track your usage on the app. You have to take a screenshot of your battery usage in settings to show how long you were using the app and send it to them. Not as passive, but still good. Appjest also has good rewards offering PayPal.
AppZone
AppZone is a passive option on the list. It has a lot of offers you can complete just as AppLike with good value. The app is also only for Android and requires you to enable accessibility settings in order to use the apps just like AppLike. One way that it differs from AppLike that puts it further down the list is that AppZone does not have as good of rewards. Its gift card selection currently does not offer Amazon and you also cannot be paid via PayPal.
FeaturePoints
FeaturePoints is a non-passive option that is for both Android and iOS. You cannot earn continually with FeaturePoints. You can only earn a one-time credit for when you download the app and use it for a few minutes. I find it one of the best options for this type of earning, as I have been using it for a long time. It credits the best out of most apps and is also consistent and quick with its excellent choice of rewards.
Cash For Apps
Cash for Apps is a non-passive option that is for both Android and iOS. It is like FeaturePoints in how you earn. It is also another option that credits well and offers a good selection of rewards. There is no option for PayPal however.
